Striped to perfection

Celebrations all round this week at Jim’s as it was announced that David Hughson, our UK Divisional & Regional Franchisor won a prize in The Daily Telegraph’s ‘Best Striped Lawn’ competition!

As the picture above demonstrates, this was one striped to perfection lawn.  The client (based in Broomieknowe, Midlothian, Scotland) has worked with Jim’s Mowing for the past 2 years and their 200o metre square lawn was cut using David’s Countax ride-on mower.  Not bad for a guy who spend 24 years working in finance wearing a suit and tie, lifting nothing heavier than his phone!

David’s only gardening experience before joining Jim’s Mowing was limited to the necessity of doing his own garden.  However, driven by his passion for golf and appreciation of a good looking green, combined with our franchisee training, David was soon in his stride: as the judges have acknowledged.

In the photo below, David proudly shows off his prize – an Allett Sandringham 14E mower.  While no match for doing the large lawn above, it’s just the job for the average residential lawn.
